THE DEVIL’S BIOGRAPHY

THE DEVIL’S BIOGRAPHY

Was born from purity
but cheated himself into maturity.
Beauty was his description
And goodness was his prescription.
His ego got eccentric
But he needed no psychiatric.

His memory drowned
So he forgot his maker was around.
He did a few choruses
And pulled a few dances
But all that broke like glasses.

He aspired to be his own God
As his teeth glittered with gold,
In the shell of his pride
To God’s throne he took a ride.

With his head held high
He looked in his maker’s right eye
Without saying hi
Being God, said he could try.

He clenched his fists against his maker
And vowed to be his maker’s wrecker,
That was enough evil, so he fell from that level.
